When someone has the gift of healing, that person heals others out of a desire to bring God the glory He deserves. The spiritual gift of healing does not manifest because of the need of the patient. Nor does it flow from the person healing. The power for healing comes from God alone—Jehovah Rapha, the Lord our Healer.
When someone has the gift of healing, that person heals others out of a desire to bring God the glory He deserves.
Only the Holy Spirit decides who receives this gift and how it will be used to bless others with supernatural spiritual, emotional, and physical healing. Those with the gift of healing have the ability to pray in faith and see God intervene supernaturally, no matter the need. These believers know that the power is God’s and that they can claim no credit.
Thank God today for your spiritual healing that began the day you accepted Him as your Savior. Thank God for any emotional, physical, or spiritual healing that has taken place in you or your family in the past. Ask Him for healing in any area where you are feeling weak.
If you have been given the spiritual gift of healing, give thanks and ask the Lord to guide you in this gift for His glory.
Prayer: God, thank You for the spiritual, emotional, and physical healing that I have seen in my life and the lives of those around me. Help me to always give You glory when I see healing in my own life or in the lives of others. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
"Heal me, Lord, and I will be healed, save me and I will be saved, for you are the one I praise" (Jeremiah 17:14).
