Save for Later

If God is in control, why does your life still feel broken, hidden, delayed, or under attack? In this 4-part series, Dr. Michael Youssef turns to the inerrant Word of God and the life of Elijah to show that the Lord is never absent, confused, or defeated. He hides His servants to prepare them, calls one obedient believer to stand with courage, teaches His people to bring their “why” questions to Him in prayer, and strengthens faith through obedience and intercession. This series calls believers to repent of fear, unbelief, and divided loyalty, and to trust the divine Lord Jesus Christ, who reigns sovereignly even when life looks like a mess.

If God is in Control, Why is My Life Such a Mess? (Part 3)

Asking God Why

In Asking God Why, Dr. Michael Youssef shows that God is still sovereign when blessings are followed by pain. Elijah, the widow, and her son had seen God’s daily provision, yet death suddenly entered their home. Scripture does not hide their anguish, and it teaches believers to take their “why” questions to God in prayer, not in unbelief. Elijah interceded with intensity, and the Lord restored the boy’s life, proving that His Word is Truth and His power is supreme. This episode calls believers to repent of shallow faith, trust the inerrant Word, and cling to the divine Lord Jesus Christ when life looks broken beyond repair.
