"What’s the difference between religion and faith?"

All God asks is that you place your trust in the saving power of His Son Jesus, that you turn away from your sins and surrender your life to Him.

ANSWER:

For those who have some familiarity with Christian language, it may seem like religion and faith are interchangeable. However, in reality they are two very different things. Religion is the practice and traditions of a belief. Faith, on the other hand, is the heart of our beliefs and actions. It’s being in a relationship with our heavenly Father, trusting Him, speaking with Him, and sharing His salvation with the world.

It’s very easy to fall into the rituals and habits of being "Christian" without having any true conviction in God or Scripture. Faith is far more dynamic and involves placing your entire trust in God. Religion without faith is cold and empty, something many within the church tragically fail to realize.

When Adam and Eve were created, they didn’t have a religion. They had a relationship with God. They were on intimate terms with Him, and He was their friend, counselor, provider, and Lord. That’s exactly the relationship God wants to have with you. All He asks is that you place your trust in the saving power of His Son Jesus, that you turn away from your sins and surrender your life to Him.
