Exercise: The Essential Gift of Love

"And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love." – 1 Corinthians 13:13

Love is the greatest gift because it is essential to God’s nature. If we are to reflect God as His people, we are, at our core, to be people who love. That is why Paul said, "Do everything in love" (1 Corinthians 16:14).

In what areas of your life do you need the Holy Spirit to take hold so that you better manifest the love of Christ?

As you read through the questions below, take some time to write down your answers, whether in a notebook, in the notes on your phone, or in the margins of your Bible!

In what areas of your life can you see the love of Christ in you transforming the way you work, speak, act, spend your time, spend your money, or care for your home, family, and community?
In what areas of your life do you need the Holy Spirit to take hold so that you better manifest the love of Christ?
Read and reflect on 1 Corinthians 12:8-10 and Romans 12:6-8. In which of these gifts is God leading you grow that you might bless others?

Lord, thank You for the promise of Your love in me. May Your Holy Spirit continue to transform my heart to reflect Yours day by day. I surrender all to You. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
