There are no two books of the Bible Satan hates more than Genesis and Revelation.

QUESTION:

“Revelation is such a difficult book of the Bible. Why should I spend time studying it?”

ANSWER:

There are no two books of the Bible Satan hates more than Genesis and Revelation. In Genesis, God pronounces his death sentence. And in Revelation, the sentence is carried out. I’m convinced Satan is behind the false teaching that calls Genesis a myth and Revelation a mystery. He wants to hide the Truth from us—the Truth of Christ’s victory and his ultimate defeat.

You see, the promise of the Lord’s second coming is repeated several times in Revelation: “I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown” (Revelation 3:11). When that promise is fulfilled, it will be the greatest day in history. On that day, the oppressive rule of Satan ends, and the glorious reign of Jesus begins.

One of the greatest blessings of studying Revelation is that it lifts our eyes to these incredible future events, filling us with a sense of expectation and hope that impacts our daily decisions. The Christian who believes in the reality of heaven lives differently, full of hope and joyful anticipation. The believer knows that the resurrection awaits, that eternal life with Christ is coming. So dig into the themes of Revelation and rejoice in the new heaven and the new earth that are coming—and the best part of heaven, Jesus.
