Erin grew up surrounded by addiction, loneliness, and the aching absence of love. By her late twenties, drugs, danger, and violence had pulled her into a life that left her feeling she had nothing to live for. While incarcerated, her pain became so severe that she was placed in 23-hour-a-day isolation.

But God opened a door.

Through jail ministry, a faithful believer named Stacey continued to sit outside Erin’s door, talk with her, and sing to her. Then one day, another inmate slid a tablet underneath the door. On that tablet, Erin discovered Dr. Michael Youssef’s Biblical teaching through Leading The Way—and God began changing her life.

As Erin listened daily to the Word of God, she began to understand who God is, who He was calling her to become, and what it meant to live for Him. After her release, God continued opening doors: a job, a Christian boss, a supportive workplace, and a renewed sense of dignity, purpose, and love.

In this powerful testimony, hear how God used jail ministry, Leading The Way, the Open Door campaign, the Navigators, and the faithful preaching of His Word to reach Erin in one of the darkest places of her life—and bring her into the light of Christ.
